A scarce edition of the classical allegorical tales by Amir Khusro.'The Tale of the Four Durwesh', also known as 'The Tale of the Four Dervishes', were originally written in Persian in the early 13th century. The legend says that the tales were penned by Khusro, though they were written long after his death. The tale is, in some ways, similar to 'Thousand and One Nights', with the method of farming and linking stories with one another. The tales centre on the King Azad Bakht, who falls into a depression, and sets out from his palace to seek wise men. This edition is translated to English by Lewis Ferdinand Smith, from the Urdu of Mir Amman.
