Condición: Good. 1900. No edition remarks. 171 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth covered boards with gilt. Black and white plates. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Ames, 222 pages, four b&w illustrations, EX-LIBRARY COPY with the usual marks, hardcover, dark blue cloth with gilt titles, top page edges gilt, corners heavily worn and frayed, edges worn with some fraying, light scuffing and soil on covers, top of spine heavily scuffed, this has been inexpertly rebacked with the worn title from the original spine glued on and new free endpapers added in very white paper, old endpapers lightly soiled, some pages lightly soiled, many pencil margin marks and/or underlining, small light blue ink smudge on page 136, contents tight, book good- (G-) 2422 [Sn10KC].

Spine with 5 raised bands, blind stamp titles and simple decorated compartments. Hinges carefully strengthened. Marbled endpapers. Pink library label to verso of the front cover: "Lambeth Public Libraries.". Photogravure frontis of; "The Princess Elizabeth." by "J. Hyatt, Sc." Title-page in red & black. Clean text and sepia coloured facsimile leaves. However, most leaves have a small ink stamp: "The Tate Central Library Brixton, S.W." A well preserved copy of a scarce book.
