Chapter headings include 'Towns and Villages', 'Bridges', 'Landscape Character', and 'Special Areas to be Preserved'.Prepared by The Earl of Mayo, S. D. Adshead and Patrick Abercrombie, with assistance from W. Harding Thompson, a member of the Thames Valley Branch of the Council for the Preservation of Rural England.Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent. Cloth is bright, with a single mark to rear board. A bit of spotting to text block. Prior owner's ink inscription to front endpaper. Dust wrapper has a bit of edge wear that has resulted in a small closed tear to top of front wrap as well as two to the head of spine.
