Table of contents page loose in the first volume, slight dampwrinle to top of pages in Lessons 8 and 9, few pages with corner creases, cover of the fist volume a little worn at the edges, few exercises from the former owner (whose name is embossed in gilt on the covers, as is usual) neatly stapled in, otherwise clean and solid, a Near VG set.
