D Mathieu

D Mathieu is an author and storyteller whose fiction explores the complicated intersection of power, family, love, loyalty, ambition, and legacy.

She is the creator of the *Carter Empire Saga*, a six-book fictional series following the rise of an empire—and the personal cost of building, protecting, and ultimately deciding who will inherit it.

Beginning with *The Price of an Empire: Power Builds Everything. But at What Cost?*, the saga introduces readers to Alano and Daniique Carter and a world where success creates opportunity, but also attracts betrayal, secrets, dangerous alliances, and consequences that can follow a family for generations.

As the Carter family grows, so does the world surrounding them. Romance and family drama collide with mystery, suspense, wealth, influence, and the increasingly complicated question of what it truly means to leave a legacy.

Mathieu writes character-driven fiction centered on people who are ambitious, imperfect, fiercely loyal, and sometimes forced to make impossible choices. Her stories explore not only who gains power, but what happens to the people they love once that power has a price.

The *Carter Empire Saga* begins with *The Price of an Empire* and continues through *The Weight of the Crown*, *Legacy Has a Price*, and the concluding chapters of the six-book series.

For D Mathieu, an empire is never simply about what one person builds.

It is about what survives them.
