Rob Mitchell

Rob Mitchell is the founder of ExecHero, creator of Decision Science, architect of The Martial Way of SDCC, and the author of the Decision Science and Convert Clients series.

For more than two decades, Mitchell has worked alongside organizations in a wide range of executive, operational, advisory, and transformational roles—including founder, executive leader, chief revenue officer, consultant, coach, and embedded strategic partner.

Throughout that time, he has helped organizations improve performance from both the inside and the outside, while observing the operating patterns of companies across more than one hundred industries.

His work has included healthcare systems.

Emergency response organizations.

Physician practices.

Scientific laboratories.

Technology companies.

Professional services firms.

Fitness organizations.

Martial arts schools.

Sales organizations.

Coaching businesses.

Startups.

Established enterprises.

Although each organization operated in a different market, served different customers, employed different technologies, and faced different challenges, Mitchell found himself repeatedly observing the same underlying patterns.

The organizations that consistently outperformed their peers were rarely making dramatically better individual decisions.

They had built better systems for producing them.

That observation became the foundation of Decision Science—an emerging discipline devoted to understanding how decisions become outcomes across organizations, leadership, and society.

Rather than asking how to improve isolated decisions, Decision Science™ explores a more fundamental question:

What kind of system consistently produces better decisions in the first place?

Long before introducing Decision Science, Mitchell became recognized for his work in behavioral decision-making and high-stakes conversations.

After years of studying why people hesitate, resist, delay, or confidently move forward, Mitchell developed The Martial Way of SDCC (Subconscious-Driven, Conscious Closing)—an original discipline devoted to Biological Influence and Decision Leadership.

Rather than treating influence as persuasion, SDCC approaches it as the disciplined reduction of uncertainty. By aligning conversations with the natural biological and psychological processes through which people evaluate trust, risk, certainty, and commitment, it enables decisions to emerge with greater clarity rather than greater pressure.

The objective is never to convince someone to move forward.

It is to create an environment in which the right decision becomes evident—and is confidently embraced by the person making it.

In the SDCC philosophy, the highest form of influence is not convincing another person to act.

It is creating the conditions in which they arrive at the decision themselves—with clarity, confidence, and genuine ownership.

Those principles later evolved into additional frameworks, including Sell by Numbers, 10-Minute Close, Decision Performance Partnerships, Decision Performance Infrastructure, Decision Performance Index (DPI), ARCS, Patient Continuity Intelligence, and a growing body of work focused on improving organizational Decision Performance.

Throughout his career, Mitchell has helped influence more than 1 billion in business decisions while serving as an entrepreneur, executive, strategist, and organizational leader. His work has included scaling a healthcare organization from startup to more than 100 million in annual recurring revenue in just three years, earning recognition as the:

Inc. 5000’s:

—#1 Fastest-Growing Healthcare Company

—#4 Fastest-Growing Company Overall in America

—Growing 25,485%

His experience extends well beyond sales or consulting alone. He has led and developed large cross-functional organizations spanning executive leadership, sales, operations, customer success, physicians, scientists, healthcare professionals, support organizations, and technology teams. That breadth became one of the defining influences behind Decision Science—the realization that exceptional organizational performance is rarely created by one department. It emerges from thousands of interconnected decisions made throughout an entire system.

Today, Mitchell continues advancing Decision Science through ExecHero, where research, publishing, software, executive education, and Decision Performance Infrastructure™ are brought together to help organizations improve the systems from which better decisions consistently emerge.

In addition to his writing and research, Mitchell partners directly with founders, executive teams, healthcare organizations, and growth-stage companies as an Embedded Decision Performance Partner™ (EDPP), working from within leadership teams to strengthen the decision systems that ultimately shape execution, growth, culture, and long-term organizational performance.

Rather than serving as a traditional consultant, he becomes part of an organization's decision infrastructure—helping leaders observe how decisions are actually made, uncover the hidden patterns influencing performance, and architect the systems through which stronger decisions, stronger execution, and better outcomes consistently emerge.

His books are intended to do more than share ideas.

They are designed to introduce new ways of seeing.

Because once we change how we observe organizations...

we begin changing the decisions that shape them.

And over time...

those decisions quietly become the future.

Decision Science continues to evolve through the work of ExecHero, the institution dedicated to advancing the discipline through research, publishing, software, executive education, and organizational partnerships.
