Yurii Rudenko

Yuriy Rudenko, born in 1983 (Kyiv, Ukraine). Formerly an engineer and businessman, with the onset of the Russo-Ukrainian war in 2014, I initially engaged in volunteer activities, providing the military with the necessary equipment. In 2015–2016, I served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in Donbas.

While serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, I wrote my first book, "Psycho of Two Seas," where the events of the ATO are presented in an adventure novel format to make them more accessible to the audience. The book was published in the fall of 2016.

From 2016 to 2022, I focused on studying, documenting, and popularizing the history of the ATO. During this time, I also became the author and director of several documentary films dedicated to the military actions in Eastern Ukraine.

During this period, I also published two more books: a sequel to the adventure novel "Psycho of Two Seas," titled "Light and Brick," and a documentary study of the first year of the war, "War.ru," which was also released in English.

On February 24, 2022, with the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, I returned to the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Currently, I am an active member of the military.
