Being raised in a family that loves soul food and seafood, I didn't have a clear concept of eating healthy. Eating a balanced diet and making sure I had vegetables on my plate was the closest advice I had on being healthy.
Throughout my first two years of college, I became more interested in fitness but would be frustrated of how sluggish I felt during my workouts. The more I became involved in fitness, the sooner I realized that health starts with what's on your plate. After continuous research of various diets, I was blown away by the health benefits of a plant-based vegan diet. So, on September 30, 2015 I became vegan and haven't looked back!
Now, as a Master's of Public Health Nutrition student, I create health conscious books to help inspire and encourage others to go vegan!
