Truly wonderful! That’s the best way of describing this sweetly written picture book from the pen of talented writer, Michael Wong. Accessibly written, and helped along by the amazing drawings of Eugene Smolenceva, it’s the story of a boy visiting his grandma, and the excellent nuggets of wisdom she imparts to him.

So if you are looking for a book which will help a young child to understand his/her worth, to dream BIG, to work hard, and to understand the importance of the ‘journey’, this book is for you. I think readers will also love the illustrations; they are, to put it mildly, sublime – and add much to the text.

All in all, this is the perfect present for a grandparent and the perfect present for a child too.
