Lisa Scheller

A writer and editor, Lisa Scheller earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. Prior to her recent retirement, she was a reporter and news editor of a weekly newspaper, and later, she worked as a writer and editor at a nonprofit educational foundation. The Story of The Bear is her first published book. The website for her book is www.storyofthebear.com.

Illustrator Linda Shaw has spent the majority of her life as an artist working in various art forms. An award-winning artist, she has illustrated 30 children’s books; she finds it challenging to interpret a storyteller’s characters and bring them to life, both for the writer and the reader.
