Ken Sharpe was born in San Antonio, Texas, but considers West Palm Beach, Florida, his hometown. After high school, he attended Emory University, and after graduation, Atlanta, Georgia, became his new stomping ground. Career wise, he has served six years in the US Navy and he currently pilots airliners for Delta Air Lines.
Ken has always been interested in writing. He looks at it as a way of freezing imagination on paper. He considers himself an explorer in the realm of understanding and meaning, and a lifetime of reading and meditation has compelled him to produce his first novel. The plot of Next Earth has been an idea that he’s carried with him for years, but he only started putting his ideas into action around four years ago. Next Earth will be the first book in a four-part saga that further expounds on spirituality and society in the wake of an apocalyptic event.
He currently resides in Atlanta with his yoga-teacher wife, four dogs, and a cat.
