Maud Brierre

Maud Brierre was born and raised in Haiti, W.I. She studied art with TiGa in Port-au Prince, and l'Ecole A.B.C. Paris.

She graduated with a B.S. in Nursing, Universidad de Antioquia,Colombia. She worked as an R.N. at John Hopkins hospital and in various hospitals in California.

She holds a Ph.D. from U.C.I., University of California Irvine. She has been teaching Yoga, French and Spanish language and literature at Saddleback College California.

She has had various painting exhibits in Santa Monica and Orange County.

Her poetry was published in magazines such as 'The Forum' and other poetry media. She was awarded 'best poet of the year' by Watermark press. Her poems were also published by 'Noble House' and Jay Elliott. She has published three poetry books in four languages, "Signpost for Your Road," (The Inevitable Press), "Un Bout de Chemin," (Imprimeur II), and "Cruce de las Fronteras" (Arquitrave Press).
