Nicholas Gray

Nicholas Gray has been using his imagination to create and tell stories since he was 10 years old.

Growing up he was met with an undiagnosed case of Dyslexia that made learning a challenge. Not understanding why, he had difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing, he was labelled ‘stupid’ and left to learn for himself how to overcome these challenges. He turned to storytelling to express himself.

At 14, his mother encouraged him to share his storytelling abilities with guests, who found themselves entertained by his tales of adventure, creative characters and scenes that he made come to life.

It wasn’t until he was in his mid-20s that he discovered a name for his challenge when he was diagnosed with Dyslexia. By then, he learned techniques to work around the challenge and today continues to use those methods.

Nick is a musician (who taught himself how to play drums and keyboard), song writer and businessman.

Model Citizens started as a project he and his then teenage son started in the early 2000’s, together creating characters and adventure scenes.

Nick still finds himself with a limited attention span, looking for a story that keeps his interest.
