Hello, I am Donna A. Smith. My writing started when my 8th grade teacher wrote on my paper that I had a vivid imagination and gave me an A. Well, that imagination is incorporated in the book Boss Battle: Strategies to Fight Fat. I took the brigadier general's war tactics to win wars and used those same tactics to help you fight the fat. I wanted to write a book that covered the main areas that keep you from being Boss of your life in the areas of weight control, lowering your cholesterol, or reducing your triglycerides. After decades of working with patients, clients, and students, I know the challenges you face, and I wanted to address those in this book.

It's not a diet, it's not a quick scheme, it's not magic. It is, as a professional writer told me, an enjoyable read with solid information. As a registered dietitian, I get many requests regarding weight control and cholesterol management.
