Mark Macrossan

Mark Macrossan was born in Brisbane in 1961, lived in London in the late 1980s and travelled extensively. Previous occupations include barrister (Sydney) and film extra (London). Early writing projects were mainly for the stage, with plays produced in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. His short stories and poetry have appeared in various publications in Australia and Europe. He has published three novels – Dark Oceans (2018), The Volcanologist (2021) and Eyeshadow (2025) – as well as a poetry collection, Antimeridians (2023). He currently lives in Sydney.
