Jonathan Koshar

Jonathan Koshar wrote a children's book for his son just for fun. His son, Theodore, was 3 at the time. The book has sold well enough and now 100 percent of the profits are donated to Polio Plus. This is a fund, within Rotary International, that is dedicated to the eradication of the polio virus worldwide. For every dollar the book raises and is donated to polio plus, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation matches the donation 100 percent.

Polio Plus immunizes children in some of the poorest places in the world. It only takes $.20 to immunize a child against this crippling and often deadly disease. By a book as a gift, the author will make a gift, the Gates Foundation will make a gift, the immunization will be a great gift. Thank you.
