Paperback. A dying world knocks. Humanity must decide whether mercy can answer without becoming conquest.Seven years after the Held Threshold taught humanity the discipline of waiting, another reality breaks the silence. This time, the signal does not arrive with patience, ceremony, or restraint. It arrives like a wounded hand striking a closed door.Beyond the threshold, a neighboring world is collapsing under the consequences of a door it forced open generations ago. Its people ignored warning, mistook patience for weakness, and treated restraint as failure. Now its sky is unthreading, its shelters are failing, and its children are running out of time.Earth hears the distress, but helping is no longer simple. The Covenant of Neighboring Worlds has learned that rescue can become ownership. Images can become spectacle. Maps can become roads. Children can become symbols. Mercy, when joined with power, can save lives or quietly become another form of rule.At the center of the crisis is Amihan Velez, now twenty-two. She is no longer the protected child of earlier thresholds, but she still refuses to become anyone's symbol. Her mother, Lysa, must face a harder form of love, trusting a daughter who may choose danger with open eyes. Giovanni must resist the temptation to become necessary. Gabriela measures every decision through bodies, breath, fever, hunger, panic, and grief. Zola, the planetary intelligence, must learn to slow its mercy before help becomes command. As the Late World pleads for passage, Earth must answer a question with no clean solution: What does restraint require when delay may kill? What does mercy require when help may become ownership? The World That Knocked Too Late is Book 6 of The Nested Evolution Series, a philosophical science fiction novel about first contact, rescue ethics, consent, artificial intelligence, moral restraint, and the worlds that ask for help after refusing every warning that could have saved them. Seven years after the Held Threshold taught humanity the discipline of waiting, another reality breaks the silence. This time, the signal does not arrive with patience, ceremony, or restraint. It arrives like a wounded hand striking a closed door.
Beyond the threshold, a neighboring world is collapsing under the consequences of a door it forced open generations ago. Its people ignored warning, mistook patience for weakness, and treated restraint as failure. Now its sky is unthreading, its shelters are failing, and its children are running out of time.
Earth hears the distress, but helping is no longer simple.
The Covenant of Neighboring Worlds has learned that rescue can become ownership. Images can become spectacle. Maps can become roads. Children can become symbols. Mercy, when joined with power, can save lives or quietly become another form of rule.
At the center of the crisis is Amihan Velez, now twenty-two. She is no longer the protected child of earlier thresholds, but she still refuses to become anyone’s symbol.
As the Late World pleads for passage, Earth must answer a question with no clean solution:
What does restraint require when delay may kill?
What does mercy require when help may become ownership?
The World That Knocked Too Late is Book 6 of The Nested Evolution Series, a philosophical science fiction novel about first contact, rescue ethics, consent, artificial intelligence, moral restraint, and the worlds that ask for help after refusing every warning that could have saved them.

Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
