Contemporary red calf, gilt-stamped lettering in black leather spine labels, gilt-stamped ornament in spine compartments (5 raised bands); complete set of 2 volumes, small 8vo; pp. [4], [i]-ii, [xvii]-cxiv, [1]-228; [4], [i]-xiii, [1], [1]-365, [1]; complete, despite weirdo pagination, and including half-titles. Spine darkened just a bit; boards lightly rubbed; a few small scuff marks along edges of boards. Previous owner's bookplate on FFEP; front flyleaf of Volume 2 appears to have been tidily removed.
