- Amy Goyer, recurring guest on NBC's Today, nationally known caregiving expert, and author, Juggling Life, Work and Caregiving
"The most successful organizations don't just focus on individual caregiver's success. They lay out a road map to connect their caregivers in meaningful ways. Selma and Zack have done just that in this book."
- Christopher Schembra, Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, USA Today's "Gratitude Guru"
"As someone who’s been battling stage 4 cancer for over 12 years while working full-time, Selma and Zack's book truly resonated with me. I’m one of the lucky ones who works for an organization that provides me the support and flexibility I need while I navigate the daily challenges of a serious illness. Whether it’s employees like me with a serious illness or employees caring for aging parents, this book provides a clear-cut case why companies should provide the support and flexibility to employees facing similar challenges and why it will benefit the company and the affected employee."
-Lee Silverstein, Host of the WE Have Cancer Podcast
Working Caregivers: The Invisible Employees
Six Strategies to Weather the Caregiver Storm In the Workplace
Foreword by Jim McCann - Founder, CEO, and Chairman 1-800-FLOWERS.COM INC.
They're all around you—the working caregivers desperately juggling their jobs and caring for ailing family members. This quiet crisis is flooding workplaces, costing billions in lost talent and productivity. But it doesn't have to.

It provides managers proven strategies to stem the coming tide of this caregiving crisis and retain workers by creating “care cultures,” training empathetic managers, and implementing flexible, caregiver-friendly policies.
Both practical and inspiring, this groundbreaking book opens eyes to the stresses on the growing number of workers torn between their jobs and their families. It informs with facts, moves with stories, and equips with solutions to support your greatest asset—your people.
Written by Selma Archer and Zack Demopoulos, this book is essential reading for leaders committed to sustaining productivity, reducing costs, and keeping the loyal employees who are the heart of their companies.
