Paperback. What If? invites readers into the unbelievable, unforgettable, and wildly entertaining life of Bill, a man whose real stories are stranger, funnier, and more inspiring than fiction could ever dare. Once a hard-living, hard-drinking truck driver, Bill transformed himself into one of the early pioneers of elite professional cycling in the United States. Across these pages, he shares tales of rowdy nights, fierce races, unlikely victories, and the twists of fate that reshaped his life as he became a father and eventually returned to the big rig in his 60s. Across eight decades, Bill has lived the equivalent of nine or ten lifetimes, on the bike and far beyond it, and he's still adding chapters to his incredible story. His collection of adventures reminds us all to live a little bolder. though maybe not quite as boldly as he has. Told with humor, grit, and heart, What If? reads like a night around a campfire with the wildest, most big-hearted storyteller you know, the kind of person who keeps you laughing, gasping, and shaking your head as shooting stars streak overhead. Praise for What If? "Bill's stories make you wonder where the line between luck, grit, and pure chaos really is. A wildly entertaining and deeply human read." This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
