Boards have some cracking and are somewhat edge worn but still bright. Some very neat underlining within, and toning to the inner edge of one page where a bookmark once lay. "I have never been able to find a really practical book on water-divining which is free from this fallacy of 'the gift' and other extravagant theories, nor one that explains the established practice and principles of water-divining as carried on for centuries. The whole subject is usually shrouded in somethign akin to mysticism and medieval witchcraft. I hope this little volume will fall into the hands of some who failed on their first effort to divine; that they will now decide to try again, but this time without the aid of an instructor" - from the Preface in 1945.
