Paperback. "Washington's: Farewell Address- Webster's: First Bunker Hill Oration- Lincoln's: Gettysburg Address Second Inaugural Address" is a vital collection of the most significant rhetorical works in United States history. This volume assembles foundational texts that define the American spirit, spanning from the birth of the nation through its greatest internal conflict. The compilation begins with George Washington's "Farewell Address," which serves as a timeless guide on national unity and the dangers of political factionalism. It continues with Daniel Webster's "First Bunker Hill Oration," a stirring tribute to the veterans of the Revolution that helped cement the identity of a rising nation. The collection is anchored by the profound contributions of Abraham Lincoln: the "Gettysburg Address," a concise masterpiece that redefined the purpose of the Civil War, and the "Second Inaugural Address," which sought to provide a path toward national healing and reconciliation. As a study of political science and history, this work offers readers direct access to the thoughts of the country's most influential leaders. These speeches represent the evolution of American democratic ideals and the enduring struggle to preserve the Union, making this an essential volume for anyone interested in the history of the United States and the power of the spoken word. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
