At the Wallace Institute, the ER isn't just a department-it's a battlefield, a circus, and occasionally, a place where professional dignity goes to die.
Chief of Surgery Jeff Vane has seen it all: trauma, tragedy, and the kind of high-stakes pressure that turns surgeons into legends. But nothing prepared him for his current team-a group of brilliant doctors who are just as likely to handle a snake bite as they are a cardiac arrest. Between a rockstar patient with an ego the size of Texas, an administrative board obsessed with viral fame, and a giant, blue mascot that keeps getting stuck in the elevator, Jeff is just trying to keep his hospital from imploding.
When a massive charity gala threatens to turn the Wallace Institute into a punchline, Jeff, along with his unpredictable right-hand men, Brian and Ryan, must find a way to maintain their sanity and protect their patients. But in a hospital where the unexpected is the only constant, the line between saving lives and causing a catastrophe is razor-thin.
From the surgical suite to the center stage, the Wallace Dream Team is about to prove that at the Wallace Institute, you don't just survive the emergency-you survive the staff.
Life is messy, medicine is chaotic, and the Wallace Institute is exactly where you want to be when everything goes wrong.

Acerca del autor
Stormy McKnight is a Texas-based storyteller and the visionary behind a growing collection of intense, character-driven narratives that peel back the layers of duty, legacy, and the secrets we keep to survive. From the high-stakes balancing act of Jazzy to the sprawling, tension-filled worlds of Along Came Smitty, Blood Ties, Paid in Blood, and Deacon Fred, Stormy writes stories for readers who value raw emotional honesty over easy answers.
With an unwavering commitment to exploring the "truth, even the parts that burn," Stormy constructs intricate landscapes where the lines between professional ambition and personal morality are permanently blurred. Whether dissecting the complexities of family or the cost of success, these novels are written for those who appreciate a narrative that is as relentless as it is human.
