Acerca del autor
Daniel Barber is a teacher, trainer and writer based in Cádiz, Spain. He's taught classes of all types and ages over more than twenty years as well as tutoring and directing Trinity TESOL courses and managing his own school. He is an author for National Geographic Learning's secondary series Perspectives and Look, a seven-level series for young learners of English. His interests include motivation in learning, coaching approaches to teaching English and the science of learning and the brain.
Marek Kiczkowiak has been in ELT for over 10 years. He has a PhD in TESOL and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on native speakerism and teaching English as a Lingua Franca. He has taught English in seven different countries in a variety of educational contexts and currently writes materials for National Geographic Learning. He runs his own company, Academic English Now, where he helps PhD students write excellent theses and research papers for high-impact journals.
Chia Suan Chong is a writer, communication skills trainer and a teacher trainer. She is the author of Successful International Communication, where she presented her ADAPT model as a framework for dealing with intercultural conflict. Delivering both online and face-to-face training to teachers and learners around the globe, Chia specializes in interactive workshops that encourage reflection for more effective international communication and improved collaboration. Currently based in York, Chia was English Teaching Professional’s award-winning resident blogger between 2012 and 2019 and now has a regular feature ‘Not Only But Also’ in the bi-monthly ETp magazine. She has contributed extensively to Business English materials for the British Council Learn English website, is a regular ELT conference speaker and holds a DELTA and a Masters in Applied Linguistics and ELT. Chia is also a co-author for Voices, an integrated-skills program from National Geographic Learning for young adult and adult learners of English.
