This book is a collection of essays by feminist scholar Elaine Wainwright (1948-2024), who taught in number of theological institutions around the world. There are 17 essays in the collection, with an introductiob by Veronica Lawson RSM and a Foreword by Barbar Reid OP. The essays deal with a variety of topicd, and incliude ecology and feminism.

Veroinca Lawson is an Australian Sister of Mercy and Biblical and is author of the 2015 book Blessings of Mercy: Bible Perspectives and Ecological Challenges
Elizabeth Dowling is a Sister of Mercy and an independent biblical scholar living in Ballarat, Australia. After completing her doctoral studies in 2005, she lectured in biblical studies at Australian Catholic University for more than ten years. She specializes in the study of the New Testament, in particular the Gospel of Luke, reading from an ecofeminist perspective. Elizabeth is the author of a monograph, Taking Away the Pound: Women, Theology and the Parable of the Pounds in the Gospel of Luke, LNTS 324 (T&T Clark International, 2007), as well as numerous journal articles and book chapters. She continues to offer biblical workshops for groups across Australia and internationally.
Anne Elvey lives and works on Boon Wurrung Country in Seaford, Victoria, Australia. She is an Honorary Research Associate at Trinity College, Theological School, University of Divinity, and an Adjunct Research Fellow, School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics at Monash University, in Melbourne, Australia. Her research interests include ecological poetics, poetry and/as activism, ecological feminist hermeneutics, postcolonial biblical interpretation and political theology, and she has published widely in these areas. Elvey was editor of Colloquium: The Australian and New Zealand Theological Review from May 2012 to May 2017 and president of the Fellowship for Biblical Studies in 2011.
Barbara is a Dominican Sister of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and has served on the CTU faculty since 1988. She has served as Vice President and Academic Dean and has been actively involved in the Association of Theological Schools, including service on their Board of Directors. She has led many of CTU's Israel Retreats and Biblical Lands Study and Travel Programs in Greece, Turkey, Israel and the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Egypt. A former Spanish teacher, she has given presentations in Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Brasil, Guatemala, and Santo Domingo. She has also lectured in Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the Philippines, Thailand, and Rome. Sr. Barbara is one of the leading scholars in feminist interpretation of the Scriptures. She is General Editor for the Wisdom Commentary Series, a new 58-volume feminist commentary on the Bible published by Liturgical Press (see www.wisdomcommentary.org, where her Introduction to the series can be downloaded gratis).
