Reading music is not required. The book can function as a standalone reference or as a complement to any piano method.

The Major Scale + Modes book presents the Major scale and its modes in all twelve keys. This includes the Natural Minor scale. Each scale is shown in one- and two-octave forms. A generic four-octave pattern rounds out the diagrams.
