The first American book to address the efficacy of ultra violet rays in the practice of dermatology. Written by Dr. Ralph Bernstein (1877-1948) a homeopathic physician and veteran professor of dermatology at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. He provides a brief and clear presentation of the clinical application of UVL in the treatment of many cutaneous diseases, based on case experience from private practice, the Skin Section of the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital of Philadelphia, and various other institutions with which Dr. Bernstein was connected.
