So they are carried, hidden, and silenced.¿This Is My Truth is a deeply personal memoir of survival, silence, and the immense courage it takes to finally be heard. From the grooming and abuse that began at the age of three to the waves of grief that followed, this is the story of a life shaped by pain-but not defined by it.¿Through every chapter, Lisa Marie Atherton shares the raw reality of what it means to survive the unimaginable. Some truths are too heavy to speak. So they are carried, hidden, and silenced.
This Is My Truth is a deeply personal memoir of survival, silence, and the immense courage it takes to finally be heard. From the grooming and abuse that began at the age of three to the waves of grief that followed, this is the story of a life shaped by pain-but not defined by it.
Through every chapter, Lisa Marie Atherton shares the raw reality of what it means to survive the unimaginable. She recounts the crushing weight of secrets, the struggle of rebuilding a life when everything falls apart, and the strength required to keep going when giving up would have been easier.
This is not just a story of what was endured; it is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It is a story of finding a voice after decades of silence, of reclaiming an identity from the shadows of the past, and of the profound realization that survival is a reckoning.
It is a story of strength. Of truth. Of still being here.
