nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - What if the circumstances you were born into did not have the power to determine where you would end up Born in Basavanahally, a remote Indian village without electricity, running water or reliable transportation, Dr. Shivakumar Basavanahally grew up in a family whose survival depended on rainfall, farm work and the quiet sacrifices of his parents. Opportunities were scarce, but the values he learned through hardship became the foundation of an extraordinary life. From Nowhere to Somewhere traces his journey from tending cattle and studying by kerosene light to leaving home in pursuit of an education. It follows the difficult choices, painful losses and unexpected opportunities that carried him from village life to India's growing industries and eventually to the United States.Through discipline, continuous learning and the support of teachers, mentors and family, Shivakumar rose from technician to global supply chain leader. Yet professional success was never the final destination. His experiences led him towards a deeper calling: developing young people, strengthening communities and using leadership as a form of service.Honest and deeply personal, this memoir explores the moments that shaped his character, including childhood poverty, separation from family, the early loss of his father, career uncertainty, cultural adjustment and the responsibility of building a new life in another country. It also celebrates the people whose belief opened doors when the road ahead seemed closed.More than a story of personal achievement, From Nowhere to Somewhere is a reflection on resilience, education, family, faith, leadership and purpose. It reminds readers that progress rarely happens through one dramatic breakthrough. It is built through small decisions, consistent effort and the courage to take the next step without knowing exactly where it will lead. For students, young professionals, immigrants, emerging leaders and anyone who feels restricted by their circumstances, this book offers a simple but powerful message: Your starting point does not define your destination.…

What if the circumstances you were born into did not have the power to determine where you would end up?
Born in Basavanahally, a remote Indian village without electricity, running water or reliable transportation, Dr. Shivakumar Basavanahally grew up in a family whose survival depended on rainfall, farm work and the quiet sacrifices of his parents. Opportunities were scarce, but the values he learned through hardship became the foundation of an extraordinary life.
