Print on Demand. This book argues that the American colonies were not as discontented as many of the earlier histories have let on. The author demonstrates that the colonies had many conflicts with the British government long before the Stamp Act of 1765. Beginning in the early 1670s, the colonies argued with Parliament over trade laws. By the 1690s, they began to question the authority of the laws made by the British government. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
