Acerca del autor:
Karen Goodburn is a debut author whose love of storytelling began in childhood. Born in a small town on South Africa's west coast, she moved to the east coast with her family soon after birth. Because of her father's occupation, the family relocated often, and Karen attended many different schools, where making friends was not always easy. More academic than sporty, she often found comfort in words and imagination.
Writing came naturally to her-words and ideas arriving unexpectedly, leading her on journeys far beyond her surroundings. What began as a quiet refuge grew into a lasting passion for storytelling.
In her thirties, Karen relocated to New Zealand, where she continued writing short stories and developing her craft. She enjoys creating worlds that offer an escape from everyday routine and hopes her stories will do the same for her readers, even if only for a little while. This is her first novel.
