Acerca del autor
Dr. Avijit Maji is a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay, India. He received Doctor of Engineering from Morgan State University, USA in 2008; M.Tech. from IIT Kanpur in 2004; and B.E. from Bengal Engineering College (now known as Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology) in 2000. He has more than twenty years of academia and industry experience working for organizations in India and USA. At present, he is the Co-Chair of Performance-Based Approaches and Applications Subcommittee of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), USA and Executive Secretary of the Transportation Research Group of India. His area of expertise includes design, operations, and safety of transportation infrastructure. He has published more than eighty technical research papers in journals, edited books, and conferences. For his contribution, Maryland Society of Professional Engineers conferred him with the “Young Engineer of the Year Award” in 2011. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, USA, and Transportation Professional Certification Board’s certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
Prof. Nagendra Rao Velaga is working as a professor in the Transportation Systems Engineering Group of IIT Bombay. His major areas of interest include intelligent transportation systems (ITS), human factors in ITS, and transport accessibility & mobility. He received his Ph.D. in Transport Studies from Loughborough University, UK. Before joining with IIT Bombay, he worked as a research fellow for 3 years at Research Councils UK (RCUK) digital economy research hub, University of Aberdeen, UK. Dr. Velaga has about 15 years of experience in industry and academia in India and abroad. He has published more than eighty technical research papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
Dr. Solomon Debbarma is an assistant professor in Transportation Systems Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay. Before joining IIT Bombay, Debbarma was an adjunct lecturer and a postdoctoral research associate at the Ingram School of Engineering of Texas State University, San Marcos, USA. He received his Ph.D. and MTech. in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee. He graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from NIT Agartala. His primary research interests include rigid pavements, sustainable concrete materials (e.g., recycled aggregates, industrial wastes, agricultural wastes), and special concrete for pavement applications. He has more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and was the lead author of 13 of the papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a Volunteer Member of the ACI Committee 555 on Recycled Concrete Aggregates and Young Member of RILEM. Debbarma served as a reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals. He is a Young Faculty Award recipient awarded by IIT Bombay. In addition, he was the Entrepreneur Lead for the NSF Innovation-Corps project: High-performance Cementitious Materials, funded by the National Science Foundation, USA in 2021.
Dr. Sangram Krishna Nirmale is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He specializes in transportation engineering, with a strong focus on driver behaviour modelling, travel demand analysis, and econometric modelling of urban mobility systems. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, where his research centred on multi-vehicle anticipation-based models for describing driver behaviour in heterogeneous and disorderly traffic conditions. Before joining IIT Bombay, he served as a Research Scientist at the Centre for Infrastructure, Sustainable Transportation, and Urban Planning (CiSTUP) at IISc Bengaluru. His academic journey includes an MTech in Urban Planning from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, and a BE in Civil Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Karad. Dr. Nirmale has made significant contributions to the field of transportation research, particularly in developing driver behaviour models for Indian traffic conditions. His work has been published in leading journals, including Transportation Research Part C, Transportation Research Part B, and Transport Policy. His research interests include discrete choice modelling, perception errors in travel behaviour, and integrating econometrics with machine learning for transportation analysis. His technical expertise spans data analytics, GIS tools, and simulation, contributing to his role in advancing urban transportation planning and policy development.

Derecho al desistimiento
Si es un consumidor, puede rescindir el contrato de acuerdo con lo siguiente. Por consumidor se entiende cualquier persona física que actúe con fines ajenos a su actividad comercial, empresarial, oficio o profesión.
Información sobre el derecho de desistimiento
Derecho legal de desistimiento
Tiene derecho a rescindir este contrato en un plazo de 14 días sin dar ningún motivo.
El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento
Si rescinde este contrato, le reembolsaremos todos los pagos que hayamos recibido de usted, incluidos los gastos de envío (excepto los gastos adicionales que surjan si elige un tipo de envío que no sea el tipo de envío estándar más económico que ofrecemos).
Podemos hacer una deducción del reembolso por la pérdida de valor de cualquier bien suministrado, si la pérdida es el resultado de una manipulación innecesaria por su parte.
Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
Efectuaremos el reembolso utilizando el mismo medio de pago que utilizó para la transacción inicial, a menos que haya acordado expresamente lo contrario; en cualquier caso, no incurrirá en ningún cargo como resultado de dicho reembolso.
Podremos retener el reembolso hasta que hayamos recibido los bienes o hasta que nos haya presentado una prueba de que los ha devuelto, lo que ocurra primero.
Deberá devolver los bienes o entregarlos a AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Germany, sin demoras indebidas y, en cualquier caso, en un plazo máximo de 14 días a partir del día en que nos comunique su desistimiento del presente contrato. El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.
