What if Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn stumbled into the greatest adventure of all—time travel?
When America’s most mischievous boys set out after their balloon voyage in Tom Sawyer Abroad, they never expect to collide with assassins, secret societies, and a stolen time machine. But that’s exactly what happens when Tom Sawyer’s boundless imagination—and Huck Finn’s plainspoken common sense—get tangled in a plot that could change history forever.
Whisked from the caves of Egypt to the crowded streets of London, Tom and Huck find themselves joined by legendary explorer Allan Quatermain (King Solomon’s Mines) and crossing paths with none other than the Artful Dodger from Dickens’ Oliver Twist. Along the way, they encounter futuristic weapons, mysterious conspirators calling themselves the “Brotherhood of Time,” and a traveler from centuries ahead who may be more dangerous than he seems.
Armed with nothing but their courage, mischief, and Missouri stubbornness, the boys must outwit enemies who know the future itself. If Tom Sawyer’s schemes don’t get them killed, Huck’s quick thinking just might save the day—but only if they can keep the Brotherhood from seizing control of the past, present, and future.
Blending the humor of Mark Twain’s classics with the thrills of Victorian adventure and the wonder of science fiction, Tom and Huck’s Time Adventure is a rollicking crossover that will delight fans of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Around the World in Eighty Days, and The Time Machine.
Step aboard—the clock is ticking, and Tom and Huck are about to prove that friendship (and a little mischief) can outlast even time itself.
