Algae is not only the branch of Botany, it’s a combination of both Botany and other branches of biology. This is a textbook for the undergraduate and postgraduate student of Botany and Biology.
Acerca del autor
Prasanta Mallick is Associate Professor and Head, the department of Botany, Vivekananda College, the University of Burdwan, Burdwan, West Bengal, India. He completed his PhD from the University of Burdwan in the area of Phycology. He obtained National Scholarship. He joined the College in the year of 2010 and has over fourteen years of teaching and 22 years of Research experience. He has completed more than two research projects funded by university Grants Commission (UGC) and WB Biodiversity Board. A teacher-cum-researcher Dr. Mallick has published 30 research articles in the journals of national and international repute. Some important edited books are also in his credit. He is also acted as visiting fellow of some universities and executive body members of various scientific bodies in India. Sudip Chatterjee graduated in Botany Honours from Ramananda College, University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India in 1990 with first class obtaining National Scholarship. He obtained Masters degree in Botany with specialization in Microbiology from Burdwan University in 1992 with first class. He obtained his professional qualification from Burdwan University with first class in 1994. He has teaching experience of 31 years.
