Paperback. That Tear on Your Cheek Written by Benjamin SutherlandEvery kid knows what it feels like to lose, to fail, to fight with a best friend, or to sit with a sadness they can't quite explain. But what if those hard moments weren't just painful - what if they were actually working for you? That Tear on Your Cheek is a warm, witty, and surprisingly profound picture book for children ages 7+ that explores one of life's most important truths: struggle is how we grow. From the butterfly that must fight its own cocoon to the diamond forged under pressure, from the video game that only gets fun when it gets hard to the friendship that comes out stronger after a real fight - this book shows young readers that pain, frustration, and sadness aren't just things to survive. They're the very things that build us.Told through the voices of a loving dad seeing his kid's tears and his wonderfully skeptical kid, That Tear on Your Cheek is equal parts funny and moving and enjoys a poetic cadence that is fun to speak aloud. It is a book children will want to read again and again, and one parents will want to share with every kid they love.A perfect gift for children navigating the real challenges of growing up.Perfect for: Ages 7+ (though with life lessons I'm still trying to learn as an adult)Bedtime reading and meaningful conversationsChildren experiencing friendship challenges, setbacks, or big emotionsParents and educators looking for social-emotional learning tools that don't feel like lessons This item is printed on demand.
