Task-Based Learning Japanese for College Students Intermediate 1

This is a comprehensive teaching material for university students who have completed studying elementary-level Japanese. This is the first book in what will be a series of three for those who wish to acquire the Japanese B1 and B2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Rather than simply learning a language, by interacting with classmates to complete tasks, the student can improve his/her Japanese skills and deepen his/her understanding and thinking about the topic. Each lesson has a three-step task based on themes such as "planning a trip" and "thinking about differences"". The vocabulary, sentence patterns, and expressions are all translated into English. Free web-based supplementary materials, such as audio content, practice sheets, and a teacher's guide are also available. Both the topics and the tasks become more complicated as the lessons progress, but you can move naturally from the upper beginner level to the intermediate level.
