When Two Villages Stop Listening, an Ancient Tree Speaks Up

Between two proud West African villages lies a shared meadow — and a growing dispute. The people of each village claim the meadow as their own, and the arguments grow louder every day. Fences go up. Friendships fade. The children can no longer play together.

Then something extraordinary happens. The ancient baobab tree at the heart of the meadow begins to speak, reminding both villages of a time when they shared everything — food, songs, and stories under its branches. Inspired by the tree's wisdom, the children take the lead, introducing a talking stick that ensures every voice is heard.

Through patience, listening, and the courage of its youngest members, the two villages rediscover that peace grows when we make room for each other. A timeless story about conflict resolution, community, and the power of listening.
