After a failed marriage and struggling to raise three daughters alone, Margie Danielsen meets cultivated, handsome Sean Paul Lanier, a perfect gentleman who showers her with gifts. Though he is elusive about much of his life, Margie succumbs to his charms and marries him. Then one night she watches "America's Most Wanted". Her new husband's face flashes across the television screen. She tells herself it must be a look-alike. However, unsure, she hires a detective and begins her own investigation to learn what is real.
