"A Systematic Statement of Christian Doctrine for the Use of Theological Students" is a comprehensive exploration of the foundational tenets of the Christian faith, structured specifically for academic and spiritual instruction. Written by Russil R. Byrum, this work provides a clear and organized overview of systematic theology, covering essential topics such as the nature of God, the person of Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the doctrines of salvation, the church, and eschatology.

Reflecting the perspectives of the Holiness tradition and the Church of God movement, the text emphasizes biblical authority and the practical application of doctrinal truths to the life of the believer. Designed primarily as a textbook for those entering the ministry, it offers clarity on complex theological concepts, making it an invaluable resource for students, pastors, and laypeople seeking a deeper understanding of Christian orthodoxy. Byrum meticulously organizes the material to guide readers through a logical progression of thought, ensuring that each doctrine is examined in light of scriptural evidence and historical context. This work remains a significant contribution to 20th-century American religious thought, offering a rigorous yet accessible roadmap for those navigating the complexities of divine revelation and human faith.
