Neuware - This syllabus of plane geometry, originally published in 1889, offers a rigorous approach to the study of geometry based on Euclid's foundational work. Prepared by the Association for the Improvement of Geometrical Teaching, the text aims to provide a structured curriculum corresponding to Euclid's 'Elements, ' Books I-VI. This revised edition brings the content into closer alignment with contemporary teaching methods of the late 19th century. Featuring detailed propositions and theorems, this syllabus is an invaluable resource for students and educators seeking a comprehensive understanding of plane geometry. It not only serves as a historical record of mathematical education but also provides enduring insights into the fundamental principles of geometrical reasoning. A valuable addition to any mathematics library, 'Syllabus of Plane Geometry' offers a glimpse into the historical development of mathematical pedagogy and the enduring influence of Euclidean geometry. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
