When Phoenix touches the package sent from Rand's mother to her son, as a psychic, she has an instant feeling of grief. And yet Rand's reaction is of anger and a warning: she is never to see the contents of the box.

A suspicious accident. A murder

As romance blooms and wanes, the Switch Killer makes his move and Phoenix sees a vision she wishes she'd never seen. Friends turn on friends. As Rand realizes Brad is finding out more and more about his past and getting close to discovering the truth . . . well, something needs to be done about that.

Phoenix and Brad find themselves in a desperate situation. Who to turn to and who to trust. Maybe not each other. Will their long years of friendship stand the test of Rand, who Phoenix is in love with? And what is it that Rand is keeping secret?

And while the three of them are locked in a triangle of keeping an eye on each other, Phoenix's family is falling apart.

The Switch Killer continues his spree.
