What happens when love becomes control—and survival becomes the only goal?

In Surviving the Man Who Wanted Me Empty, Tearessie Archie Linsy shares her raw and unfiltered story of surviving years of narcissistic and domestic abuse. What began as love slowly turned into violence, manipulation, fear, and silence. Trapped by control, threats, and isolation, she endured abuse not only for herself—but to protect her children.

This memoir is more than a personal story. It is a testimony of truth, clarity, and choosing life.

With honesty and reflection, Tearessie takes readers through the emotional and physical realities of abuse: the gradual erosion of identity, the shame that keeps survivors silent, the cycles of manipulation, and the moment when emptiness becomes unbearable. She also exposes how narcissistic abuse works—how blame is shifted, reality is distorted, and strength is mistaken for weakness.

Written for women and men who feel drained, judged, or trapped, this book reminds survivors of one essential truth: you were never the problem.

This is a book for those still trying to find a way out, and for those rebuilding after leaving. It offers understanding without judgment, faith without pressure, and hope without false promises.

Leaving is not failure.
Starting over is not weakness.
Surviving is strength.
