Sinopsis:

A gripping eye witness account of the genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Turkish government against its Armenian subjects during World War 1. Smpat Chorbadjian tells his story of the appalling hardships he suffered. It reveals his courage, endurance and will to survive, also recording his healing and restoration, after years of misery. This book makes a compelling narrative as it sheds light on the frequently forgotten experience of Turkey’s Christians, against a background of global conflict.

Acerca de los autores: Smpat Chorbadjian (1898-1963), was born into a strong Christian heritage, which was very precious to him. He had a life-changing personal encounter with Jesus Christ in 1931. After the tempestuous events of this narrative, Smpat spent the rest of his life peacefully in Cyprus as a tailor raising 3 sons.

Dr Patrick Sookhdeo is Director of the Institute for the Study of Islam and Christianity, International Director of Barnabas Fund and Executive Director of the Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life. He has been Visiting Professor at a number of military academic centres. He is a Research Associate at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of Pretoria. He is Cor Episcopos of the Syriac Orthodox Church. He is author/editor of 36 books.
