Sinopsis
In this introductory text, Hilgert (management and industrial relations, Washington U.) and Leonard (business administration, Purdue U.) explicate supervisory concepts and show their applications in the real world. Supported by numerous case studies, they offer guidance in analyzing problems facing supervisors and suggest practical, theory-driver solutions. Special attention is given to issues of diversity, equity theory, time management, work scheduling, group dynamics, and performance evaluation. Annotation c. Críticas
I do use a competing textbook, and the contents (of the two books) are very similar. Truthfully, I prefer Hilgert and Leonard, because of the up-to-date material, interesting presentation, and supplement package.
