This preoccupation led him into work with Lockheed Aircraft during the years of WWII and the Korean conflict. The author's studies and practical experience in the field of airplane manufacturing helped, he believed, to produce his unusual writings about outer space, and its various attributes. Orfeo suggests his background was the reason for having undergone the various experiences he discusses in SON OF THE SUN and its companion text THE SECRET OF THE SAUCERS.

Over the years, Orfeo was to experience what can only be described as poetic or "dream like" face to face meetings with angelic, human-looking beings from "off earth." The encounters had a surreal quality about them as can be determined from the author's writings. At one points, after undergoing a week long lapse of memory it began to dawn on Orfeo as he regained consciousness onboard a vehicle unlike any he recognized -- "so life like it almost seemed to breath and think" -- that he had made a connection to his higher dimensional self.
