Strong Spirits is Robert Allen Lupton’s third collection of fantasy, science fiction, and adventure stories. Like always, tempered with wit and humor. This one includes a couple western tales and most of the stories feature strong female protagonists. Journey from the high deserts of New Mexico and from the waving wheat in Oklahoma to fairy lands and to stone castles guarding rocky coastlines. Meet swordsmen and brew masters, djinns and sheriffs, talking fish and the devil. and finally wrestlers and robots. Travel on space ships and ghost trains. Nothing’s quite the way it looks and even the most evil villain and most noble hero learn not to take themselves too seriously.
