Neuware - 'Stories of Authors' is a compelling collection of biographical sketches and anecdotes that bring the world's most celebrated literary figures to life. Compiled by Edwin Watts Chubb, this work offers readers an intimate glimpse into the personalities, habits, and struggles of iconic writers such as Shakespeare, Milton, Johnson, Goldsmith, and many others. Rather than providing exhaustive, dry biographies, the text focuses on humanizing these legendary figures through engaging narratives that highlight their unique characters and the circumstances surrounding their most famous works. The book explores the literary landscape through short, accessible chapters, making it an excellent resource for students of literature and general readers alike. From the domestic life of the BrontÃs to the eccentricities of Edgar Allan Poe, these accounts provide essential context for understanding the history of English and American letters. By focusing on the personal stories behind the prose and poetry, 'Stories of Authors' serves as both an educational tool and an entertaining tribute to the enduring legacy of the written word. It is a treasure trove of literary lore that underscores the human experience behind some of the greatest masterpieces ever written. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. This work was reproduced from the original artifact, and remains as true to the original work as possible. Therefore, you may see the original copyright references, library stamps (as most of these works have been housed in our most important libraries around the world), and other notations in the work. This work is in the public domain in the United States of America, and possibly other nations. Within the United States, you may freely copy and distribute this work, as no entity (individual or corporate) has a copyright on the body of the work.As a reproduction of a historical artifact, this work may contain missing or blurred pages, poor pictures, errant marks, etc. Scholars believe, and we concur, that this work is important enough to be preserved, reproduced, and made generally available to the public.
