Stalky & Co, Rudyard Kipling, Macmillan and Co Limited, 1899 A compilation of nine previously published stories beginning with an untitled poem beginning "Let us praise famous men". The stories are about adolescent boys at a British boarding school and it has been said that they are based on the author's own school experiences. In very good condition, the binding is straight and tight and the lettering on the spine quite bright. There are marks to the front and boards and some sun damage to the spine. The slightly toned and foxed end papers and pages are free from tears or inscriptions. The top edge retains its original gold tint. There is shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine. There are the remains of a sticker to the rear of the back board. Will be dispatched wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box. N° de ref. del artículo 02258
