Add some warmth to your winter with this book of delicious soups and stories from the Cook for Good community
ALL PROFITS WILL BE USED TO TACKLE FOOD POVERTY AND SOCIAL ISOLATION
"If you love soup as much as I do, this is the only book you will ever need." Stanley Tucci
----
Packed with recipes for delicious soups, stress-free breads, and toppings that lift a bowlful to another level, Soup for Good is the perfect book for soup lovers everywhere and a great way to convert people who don't yet share the love. And with all the profits being invested into Cook for Good's food-based community programme, it's destined to become a feel-good favourite.
Chapters include:
A WORLD OF CHICKEN SOUP
Every culture has its own chicken soup, which is known as a comfort food with almost magical healing powers. These are our favourites.
TWO WAYS WITH...
Inventive ways to make the most of seasonal veg, turning an everyday ingredient into a couple of special meals.
USE IT UP
Fantastic recipes that you can assemble from the odds and ends in your fridge or freezer and avoid having to go to the shops.
A MEAL IN A BOWL
Hearty, chunky soups that are a meal in themselves without needing anything on the side (and tend to be light on washing up, too).
NO STRESS BREADS
Easy ways to make delicious, fresh loaves, with no clever machines, aged starters or special skills required.

Praise for Soup for Good
"If you love soup as much as I do, this is the only book you will ever need." Stanley Tucci
"To offer a bowl or mug of soup to someone is an act of cosiness and connection. And that is what Cook for Good offers, with this book and every day." Nigella Lawson
"Cook for Good is a brilliant initiative, using food and cooking to reduce food poverty and social isolation." Gordon Brown, former Prime Minister
----
From the back cover
When a Cook for Good team member shared a flask of homemade soup with a volunteer at their community Pantry in London's King's Cross, it was the start of something special. Before long, the team had established a weekly soup cafe and fuelled an obsession with soup that spread across the whole community.
Soup for Good shares our community's favourite recipes and tells the stories of some of its much-loved characters. With a foreword by Nigella, this beautifully illustrated book includes soups donated by our food-loving supporters, including former Prime Minster, Gordon Brown, Ed Balls, Karan Gokani, and Nigella herself, along with the food businesses who have helped us on our way.
Soup for Good is a celebration of soup and community, and the perfect expression of the power of cooking to change lives and bring people together.

Descripción de la tienda
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
