Beyond Unwanted Sound: Noise, Affect and Aesthetic Moralism (Bloomsbury, 2017), and co-editor of
Sound, Music, Affect: Theorizing Sonic Experience (Bloomsbury, 2013).
Ian Biddle is senior lecturer and Head of Postgraduate Studies in Music at Newcastle University. He is co-founder and co-ordinating editor (with Richard Middleton) of the journal Radical Musicology and the author of Music, Masculinity and the Claims of History (Ashgate, 2011).
